ESP32 Firmware Flasher for Windows and Linux

Choose an installation path

  • Ready-made firmware: use my ESP32 Firmware Flasher with the included merged binary; no Arduino IDE or PlatformIO installation is needed.
  • Arduino IDE and wiring guidance: follow Random Nerd Tutorials’ ESP32-CAM programming guide. Their example sketch is not this project’s firmware; use this download’s PlatformIO build instructions when building EVILE firmware from source.

The ZIP includes the camera firmware source, a PlatformIO project and a ready-to-flash binary for the AI Thinker ESP32-CAM. Setup and flashing instructions are included in the README.

Turn an AI Thinker ESP32-CAM with an OV2640 sensor into a network camera you can configure from your browser. Choose a resolution, nudge optional pan/tilt servos and manage Wi-Fi and access settings without a separate desktop application.

The firmware supports MJPEG streaming and snapshots, with an alternative RTSP mode for compatible clients. A first-boot setup portal helps connect the camera to your network, or recover when you change WiFi settings.
