GLM Quota usage tooltip

Shows your z.ai GLM Coding Plan quota usage in the VS Code status bar: remaining percentage in the 5-hour and weekly windows. Your API key is stored in VS Code's secret storage and is only ever sent to the configured z.ai host.

Setup

Install, then run GLM Quota: Set API Key (or click the status bar item) and paste a z.ai API key from your own GLM Coding Plan account. Create one at z.ai → API Keys. Set zaiQuota.host to open.bigmodel.cn if your key was issued for that host.

Install

Download the .vsix below - say it lands in your Downloads folder - then install it from a terminal.

Windows (PowerShell or CMD - if code isn't recognised yet, launch VS Code once, close it, and reopen the terminal):

cd %USERPROFILE%\Downloads
code --install-extension zai-quota-0.5.2.vsix

macOS / Linux:

cd ~/Downloads
code --install-extension zai-quota-0.5.2.vsix

No terminal needed: in VS Code, open the Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X), click the ... menu at the top of the panel, choose Install from VSIX... and pick the downloaded file.

Restart VS Code (or run Developer: Reload Window) and the quota item appears in the status bar.
